The Magic Mile
The New Hampshire Motor Speedway was opened in 1990. It’s located about an hour north of Boston in the town of Loudon, New Hampshire. The Speedway is considered the largest multi-use sports complex in New England and has a mile oval speedway, a 1.6-mile road course, a quarter mile oval track, and a quarter mile dirt flat track. The Magic Mile hosts the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series. It’s the only track within all New England to host these races! There are a ton of other events that the Speedway hosts besides the NASCAR Cup Series. Many NASCAR champions have left major records here. Kyle Busch has the record for fastest qualifying and fastest race in the Xfinity Series. Brad Keselowski has the best qualifier, and Jeff Burton has the best race in the Cup series.

Events
When you’re looking for things to do near Lake Winnipesaukee, the Motor Speedway has a ton of amazing events for you to check out. Every weekend, there are a host of different races like the SCCNH’s Laps for Charity. If you’ve got a car you love to race, you can take your car on the track and ride behind the pace car. You can experience what it’s like to race on the Speedway for charity! You get a photo in victory lane at the end of your ride.
There are plenty of car clubs that come to the Speedway for anyone interested in automobiles and automobile activities. You can watch drivers test their driving skills or test your own skills! There are rallies, hillclimbs, time trails, and so much more at these monthly car club meets.
Lemons also hosts monthly car meets for drivers and spectators. Kids under the age of 16 can enter free to watch the Lemons races. There are garage rentals for any racer that plans on taking part in the races. Lemon races only take a cheap car to get in for the races. If you’ve got the racers spirit or watch amateurs race their cars, then this is the perfect event for you.
