New Hampshire Ice Fishing Regulations
When ice fishing in New Hampshire, there are some regulations that you need to be aware of. New Hampshire fishing regulations make sure that everyone has a fair chance to fish. It also helps preserve the fish for future generations by preventing overfishing. All anglers coming to ice fish must make sure that they have their New Hampshire fishing licenses. No Salmon are allowed to be pulled through the ice. If you are fishing for Cusk, then you must have a Cusk line set to the regulations. Any Cusk caught on a regular line must be released. If you’re fishing on a Salmon or Trout lake, you are only allowed 2 traps per person. Any other lake allows for up to 6 traps per person. These seven fish are listed as: Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, Yellow Perch, White Perch, Pickerel, Cusk, and Black Crappie. There are many more fish that can be caught here as well! Any Landlocked Salmon caught must be released before they are brought through the ice.
